In the thread about our club schedule, the subject of a club vs club tournament came up. After speaking to some one at the Fish & Wildlife Department, I think it would be best to do this as a separate tournament. Are there any other clubs that may be interested in doing this? Schedules are filling fast, so if there is any interest outside of Rutland BASS and LDBM let us know and we will try to find a date to do this.

Pretty sure several from Southern Vermont Bass would play--as long as it didnt conflict with any of our other events.

How does Sunday the 15th out of Fort Cassin sound for something like this, or Larabee's. Fort Cassin has more parking though. Also, if we could get a club up North interested, it would be more central.
Perhaps we could do this with a small entry fee that we would get a trophy for the winning club and the rest donated to charity. Just an idea.

That is why I suggested a small entry fee, with a trophy (read cheap) and the rest donated to charity. How does $20 a boat sound?

the entry is fine I just wan to make sure that it is a event that is enjoyable for all meet others share the day and maybe turn it into a annual event . the entry fee and donation is a good idea I would trow out that we donate to a school or a kids summer program.

It sounds like we could at least get 3 clubs on board with this. How does a BBQ sound at the weigh in so people could get to know one another? We could use a portion of the entry fee to get burgers and dogs. Make this as much about fun as anything else.

We (GMSB) have a tourney scheduled that day up North, but I'll check to see if there is any interest in joining in your club vs. club. Bob

Yes they are the same place, I have always called it Red Gate but some people don't seem to know where I am talking about when I say that.
