Woke up at 5 this morning to the sound of rain and thunder with a few flashes of lightning. I rolled back over for some more sleep. I finally got the boat in the water at a little after 9:00 and fished until 3:00. I caught 9 smallies the biggest was 3 lbs. All of the fish were caught in 3 feet or less of water. Water temp 67 to 69. It was a beautiful day. I saw a bunch of trollers but no one else looking for bass. This is the biggest one. George

Sounds like a good day to me, I was home with my two youngest. That was better than the alternative of taking all four boys to my Mother-In-Laws college graduation (long story). Don't get me wrong I actually like her, but just imagine 13, 11, 7, & 5 year old boys trying to sit through a college graduation. Fishing through that lightning storm this morning would have been easier ;D

No senkos Crank-baits and a jig got most of them. I think I did get one on a tube. The one in the picture hit a Bagley Brem so hard I almost lost my grip on the rod. It was in a kill the sun fish mood
