Had a lovely day on the water with Dad and Billy. We got there around 6:30 and fished until about 7. Went north for a bit and did some damage on outer weed edges in 5-6 feet with a worm and a spinner bait. Caught a 4-8, the best of the day on the spinnerbait there. Later we headed south and fished more outside edges with all kinds of stuff. About the only thing that didn't work was a chatterbait, caught the best quality on the frog! Water temp was about 72-474, warmed as the day went on, it was a scorcher! We also caught a ton of other species. 2 bowfin (one about 3lbs, one about 6lbs), 6 sheepshead (biggest was 11-6, most around 8lbs), 1 channel cat (8lbs), 1 white bass, 2 pickerel, 1 pike. Pretty much a banner day for multispecies. No gar though

Jigs and one on a worm. I had never caught a sheepshead on a jig before yesterday, all on cranks. Needless to say, the first hit I got had me very excited for a bit (the sheepshead were hitting with a very sharp tap-tap)!
