Welcome to the forum. If you are into bass in general and Lake Champlain and other VT lakes in particular, you are in the right place.
I noticed your location in NY. I'm originally from Troy. I have a buddy from Troy who comes up to fish with me every month from May to October.
Where do you fish for bass down there?
Bob

Welcome to the forum. How does Saratoga fish? I am down there on business often and am always tempted to bring the boat. Would I do better on the Mohawk?
Thanks

Thank you to all for the welcome ! As far as saratoga it always produces something if all else fails put on a senko I have a hard time doing this i dont always have the pateince. There are some off shore humps if you pitch some soft plastic craw imitations around seems too work but if you go on the weekend get there at first light and you want to be gone shortly after noon fills up with alot of pleasure boaters I try to hit it during the week . I have only fished the mohawk a few times out of waterford never with much success that's I why consider myself a novice. Schodack we will have to hookup for a story session.

A fun place to fish not far away is the Hudson out of Lock One off Route 4 Waterford. Just pay attention to buoys as you don't want to wander out of the channel when on plane. Some nice smallies, LM, and pike in that pool. I haven't fished it in years as I keep my boat at the lake now. I never got the hang of the southern Mohawk either. I've wanted to fish further west but only got to once. We did really well but I fished with someone who knew that part of the river. Fishing the Hudson and Mohawk whole different animal then Champlain. I haven't fished Saratoga in years either. That gets pounded so bad for a small lake with tournaments all you get is runts now I hear.
We can meet up sometime. Wife and I hit the Town Tavern in Sand Lake once in awhile. We love the food there.
