Hi all... Sorry for the slightly OT thread, but I know some of the regular posters here will have some valuable insights.
I have a son who, even more than his dad, is into outdoor sports such as fishing and hunting. He's increasingly expressing an interest in pursuing studies in fisheries/wildlife biology or ecology. As a class-A nerd myself, I'm interested in encouraging his interest (and learning right along side him until we ship him off somewhere). As a homeschooling family, we have the added benefit of some flexibility to do some non-traditional things as well.
So, for those of you on here 'in the industry'... Can you recommend any good texts or books that we ought to consider adding to the family library? Also, are there any programs run through VTF&W that we ought to keep an eye out for?
Thanks in advance!

well this isnt a book but it is a really cool program I have found and am going to talk to my sons teachers for next year about getting this in his classroom. www.troutintheclassroom.org/home Im not sure if the cost would be too much for you or not but if not then this would be really fun I think. And they already have lesson plans for teachers.
