I'll never tell... But I'm sure not using the lighter weight stuff on toothy critters or bass, which is what I seem to be chasing these days, so it must go. Reel is working out just fine, as you said it aint fancy but it's a lot better than the 1980's Quantum that it replaced! Caught a pile of decent pike (and even a few bass) on it this summer. Thanks again!

If you're looking for a 9' 9wt I've got a near perfect condition Sage RPLXi 9wt 3 pc. I bought it brand new as a back up and used it maybe a half dozen times. I've been seeing them in this condition go for around $350. I'd take $300. Progressive action throws a 350 grain shooter very well. Great rod for stripers, blues, reds, bigger bones, small tarpon, pike, etc.
