Hey everyone I'm Brandon. I've been reading the posts here for quite a while, I figured it's time to join. New to Vermont I live in Shelburne. I work evenings at an assisted living facility so I an fish all the mornings but watch the sunset from inside. I don't know anyone out here and would love to find someone to go fishing with. I own a 14ft aluminum boat with a trolling motor and 15hp. no electronics.( maybe next year). I'd really like to go out and learn from some of you guys who really know what your doing. I have to admit I'm a fishing addict and I always say just one more cast.
Gotta love this place

Welcome to Vermont and this forum, Brandon. I would be happy to take you fishing on the Lake to help you get familiar with the northern part of the Lake. Next Monday I am taking a forum member fishing. Maybe Tues, Wed, or Thursday of next week. Let me know your availability. After that I have some commitments for a while.

Welcome to the forum and to VT. You picked a great area to move to. Lots of good fishing opportunites for you in the bays around Shelburne on Champlain and the many lakes and ponds in the area. Think about joining a bass club. You'll get to know some good people, fish some new places and learn some new techniques. Last I knew there was open slots in a club that several memebers from the forum belong to. If you are interested they'll fill you in.

Roy-
Thanks for the welcome. This place is truly heaven to me coming from just 30 minutes north of NYC. I went to school right on Lake Ontario and I know its got great fishing, but there is no place that can match feeling I get from being on Champlain with the islands and the mountains on both sides. I noticed a few members speak of being part of the Rutland Bass club. that is a little far for me I figured, is there a more local one up here?
