Fish mostly the northern part of the lake.Mostly out of St.A. Bay.Head up to Swanton sometimes. And also have a buddy with a camp on North Hero,so get over that way a couple times a summer.Love fishin for smallies, but also like to fish topwaters for LM.

Welcome. You will find good info here on bass fishing, which is the primary interest of most of us on this forum.
I'm from St. Albans and launch mostly out of the Bay. Keep an eye out for a big, old dude with a red, white and blue Ranger Z21.

I'll keep 'em busy 'til you get there. Before you uncover the boat check with Bob. It's going to snow the day he takes his boat out of the garage, hate to see you uncover it then.

If you can find a shop to talk with and that will let you borrow some props to try out that's a plus. If you can find a forum like this for your boat/motor make/HP you can read through to see what others are running. Just know every boat, even the same brand/motor, will run a little different but still by reading what others have found to work can get you close to where you want to be. Then play with engine height (if you have a jack plate) and experiment with the tilt while running. I've been playing with mine for 2 years and still haven't quite got to where I want to be but it's fun to play. I do a lot more fishing then running so I haven't really put as much time into getting it set up perfect as some will. I can barely reach 70 with this prop and I know others running the same set up pushing 75. Driving skill comes into play too and so far, I ain't found it.

The state campgrounds are nice and inexpensive. Apple Tree bay is a good private campground. Though I have never camped there myself, Burton Isalnd looks great. Right on the water!
