Getting info about Lake Champlain for some fishing trips next year. Looks like 10 acres campground on the Vt side looks good. Live in New Jersey and will cross at Crown Point. Have a 17' Sea Nymph with a 90 hp Mariner. Do salt water fishing here in NJ. Looking forward to some fresh water action up your way.

Welcome to the Bass forum. Vermont has quite a variety of fishes and fishing locations. Bass can be found in most Lakes, ponds and rivers. Lake Champlain has trout, salmon,Bass, Walleye, pike, pickerel, bowfin, sunfish, crappie, catfish, carp and a bunch of others that I can't think of at the moment. If you are coming up to camp and fish, I would suggest Lake Carmi in northern VT. The is a large state run campground, beaches, 2 boat launches, picnic areas, showers etc. Good Walleye fishing as well as Bass, perch, pike etc. Yell if you need more specifics..

I'm new to this board too and I don't know if they discuss saltwater fishing much but I like to. Try to get out a couple times a year if possible. Heading to Montauk for our 2nd annual stripe bass fishing trip mid October. Can't wait. We slayed'em last year on board the Sea Wife IV. What type of ocean fishing do you do and what do you fish out of when in saltwater?
If you come up to fish southern Champlain next year, give me a holler, will help if I can. Fishing this past year has been strange. My numbers have been down but I have gotten at least one 5lb plus fish more often then not each day out. Will trade those for big numbers any day!
