Champlain 7/30/11

I fished the Rutland Bass club tournament on Saturday on Champlain out of Benson's Landing. I ended up in third place with a little over 10 lbs. I caught a bunch of 2 lb fish flipping a jig or a TR beaver style bait to scattered weeds in 6 to 10 feet of water. I couldn't find the lunkers.

It was a great summer day to be bass fishing.

It was a tough day out there. Brock and I tried a lot of different things. I didn't have a keeper until 12:00, but had a limit by 1:30. No size though. We went north towards Ti but had trouble finding any thick weed beds. Where I caught my limit was the best weed we could find. Thankyou Brock for putting us on the spot. No big bass but did get a big Bowfin in there.
