I use a stren knot. but I have been experimenting and I may adopt the uni to uni after some real world testing.
Dad is colorblind so that could be a difference too!

Last year was the first time I tried fluorocarbon line. I bought Cabela's brand. 8lb for spinning and 15lb for casting. My experience with the 8lb line on my spinning rigs, primarily wacky, shaky-head jig, and drop-shot, was terrible. In addition to getting loops on the spool I had loops past the end of the rod tip. Try reeling in a fish or setting the hook with those problems. I also lost some nice fish down an Ti in May with the line breaking off at hookset. So no more fluro on my spinning rigs.
Experience with 15lb fluoro on baitcasters has been excellent. No problems with casts. I use fluoro for crankbait, Carolina, and jigs. Caught more fish on crankbaits than I ever had. Can really feel the action of the crankbait with this line.

SO, another update. I have been using 22lb floro on a baitcaster this year and it is working out really well for me. Also, the 6lb test Vanish has been a success, wicked sensitive and pretty twist resistant.

I have used a few brands now. I use floro on all my sinking baits due to its Bouncy properties and low stretch this year i purchased Viscous Fishin Line I have to say I am more the happy with th is product. As with all floro if you do not wet he not prior to setting it is will burn and be brittle but I will buy this product again

After the feed back and some investigation I could not come to a clear cut this one is best decision -- like so many other things in fishing personal preference plays a big part of why people use what they do.
I have spooled some Seaguar InvizX on my new bait caster and I have some Cabela's 100% fluorocarbon on the way. The InvezX went on nicely. Now I need to get out and give it a test reeling in some fish ;D
