I started the fishing season with a post of our first trip out. Just me yesterday for a final outing. Put in on the CT river at the VTF&W ramp in Brattleboro. Good current and 45 degree water had the smallmouths pinned to the bottom around wood structure. Locating them with a jigging blade then trying to get a few on the dropshot. Had a great day. Bass were biting pretty well in 20' to 23', only lost a few on the blades, unusual for me. Strong wind against the current made for a challenge sticking on the cover, none of that spotlock for me . So covering water with the blade was a better deal. Not real big fish but plenty of fun, boating 26 despite the wind, rain and cold. You don't need to go far from the ramp in November, too cold anyway... finally got the camera out, despite the wind and rain I found some bigger ones as I ran out of time back to a selfie so I could torture Roy at work Right now it's snowing hard here at home. Glad I called it.....

Really missed our trips this year. Also have to give you a lot of credit for tough ing it out on a nasty November day👊

Hi Brian, Great looking fish! and yes sir that does look a little nippy! I stopped fishing in late October.
I'm out of Guilford. Last winter I built a foam row/fishing boat in Brattleboro in a small rented room up 3 flights of stairs. and had a lot of fun fishing with it in our area. I just put up a YouTube video of a collection of fall fishing moments in my boat.
Nice to find a fishing forum for VT!
