Hey everyone. What a crazy year it has been right? Sorry for not posting at all-completely my fault. So how has everyone's year been so far? It has been a great year fishing-wise, but with some lows thrown in there for good measure. Caught my PB from the shore this year and had the chance to go out on a few other boats with some really good anglers. I sold my deckboat this year and I am in the market for a used Bass Boat...If anyone has any leads, please let me know. I will start posting more...As I haven't forgotten about this forum and you guys. I have learned a lot here and want to give back a little if I can. I hope everyone has had the luck they have hoped for and that this COVID crap hasn't affected you too terribly.
Hope to hear from everybody soon Bassdude

It's just so quiet here lately compared to years past when I first joined. Granted people use social media more for sharing with friends, guilty here.
But this forum did allow for me, a new terribly novice fisherman to meet two of the best fisherman I have met, made new friends, learned so much, and also created a hole in my bank account... "I swear that package is old... it was back ordered, no I didn't buy another rod... i don't have enough honestly. But the boat goes faster!" I tell my fiance. Hahaaha.
What kind of bass boat are you looking for? Aluminum? Speed matter? I just went through quite the process of buy my first bass boat, let me know if you need any help.
Most of my years fishing has been kind of bleh. Fishing in the new boat is amazing. This late summer I spent time getting to know north east kingdom lakes and ponds and it's been successful up there. Recently just got my first VT 6lber! I've never gone fewer times to champlain than this summer. Algae blooms gross. Too many options? Roy caught all the bass? No plan to hit up north or south lake any time soon until fall really kicks in.
My new saying is... ENJOY YOURSELF!

Fortunately for me COVID has not affected my life much. Been working right along, camping every weekend since May and been out at least once every weekend. It has not been bad but it's never been real good either save for a few trips early spring and early summer. Since late July fishing has been kind of mundane but always enjoyable. Been wanting to post kind of a recap of sorts but have been kind of busy working at the shop and around the house.
Been seeing some nice older boats on Craiglist last few weeks. Keep an eye out maybe the right one is for sale. Good luck to all these last several weeks of the year.

It's been rough for most of us south lake the past 3-4 weeks. Heading up tomorrow but think I'm fishing Bomo a couple days. Maybe Champlain Sunday/Monday. Will see what weather brings. Looking better as week progressed.
