Had a bit of time Wednesday so the GF and I went down to South lake and launched from Lapham Bay. Only fished for about 6 hours, but had a great catch. Seemed everywhere we fished we caught them. Crankbait on rock worked well, chatterbait anywhere worked well, and a jig in the brush worked well. Probably got over 20 bass, several pike and pickerel, but the strangest was a 20+lb carp on a crankbait - wth?? I have never caught a carp on anything other then corn or a fish arrow! Anyway, water temps were low 50's, the sun was out and we had fun!! Most of the fish were good sized, I will try and post a couple pics.... Having trouble with posting pics on here.... either too big or now too small

Nice fish Scott! Your GF has a great smallie there! Did you weigh or measure it? Fishing has been good down there. If you can get out during the week all the better. Busy at the ramps and not enough parking for all but plenty of room on the water. Fish seem to be almost anywhere so it’s keeps the fisherman spread out.
I use Postimage to attach photos. Pretty easy, more less how photobucket used to be.

Thanks Roy, I will have to try Postimage out when I get some free time. Nope, I haven't measured or weighed anything. I don't even have a scale on the boat, guess I'll have to go and get one. Seems like a lot of bigger fish so far, but maybe my calibration is off!
