Took my sister for her ride in the new boat Sunday out of larabees. Arrived at 1130 and stayed until 630. Sun was out, windy south but manageable for the boat. At least 6 boat trailers in the parking lot. Water was 48 to 51.5. Warmest being in one back bay. Water isn't really high enough to all over the back bays with out hearing the TM on vegetation or buck brush but you can get around for most part. Only saw two turtles, plenty of birds and frogs are going strong. Caught a few bass at my second back water spot but not all the way back shallow. All around 2 to 3lbs. Did not see any pan fish and didn't see much bait or life around. The lake wasnt as dirty as I expected, about a foot of visibility. Shot down south for some drum action and my sister caught her first 2 lost a few, trying to pull to hard. I pulled out 3 and gave one bite to my sister. Ran back for easter dinner on a much smoother water as the winds died down. Wish we could've stayed longer but dinner by my family is not worth being late for! Headed up north this weekend, see what happens.

Thanks for the report Brandon. Good to see you enjoy he new boat. Hopefully fishing will get better if and when it warms a bit. Good luck this weekend.

Buddy Jim fished this afternoon, five small bucks, pickerel, and a big bowfin. Water temp 49 so no warm up yet. I'm bringing boat up tomorrow, may try to get out in the afternoon if I get up early enough and get camp set up.

I didn't get out yesterday. Wind was freaking cranking out of the south until around 5 and then some light rain moved in. This morning when I left at 11 it was still 43 and a very brisk north wind. Lake was cranking. Pretty dirty south of Buoy 39 down past Plunder Bay but this morning north wind might blow some of it back south. Plan to go back up Thursday and fish Friday/Saturday at least.
