Hey Guys, its been awhile since I have been on the forum - doesn't look like it is getting much use!? I hope everyone has been well and staying Corona free... I finally picked up a boat, so I am back in the game, and had to try it out. Took it down to Larabee's yesterday for a maiden voyage. Everything seemed to work well except for the trolling motor, that's gotta go! Not big enough and the cable skips throwing off the direction indicator....you can imagine! Anyway, since I was there I did a little fishing. Water was 47 - 49 degrees, I didn't think it was too dirty for down there, dead calm and sunny. I only caught a handful of fish, not many on the points, but the bays had a bit warmer water and activity. Here's a couple -   It said my pics were too big - had to trim them?? Not sure I will get a chance to post much, but thought I would see if I could remember how... Stay Safe! Scott |

Welcome back Scott! You’ve been missed. How’s Pete? Nice to see some pics from the south end. Couple nice fish there. If that TM is a Motorguide it’s pretty easy to fix. The rack and pinion steering in those can get loose. It’s right on top and easy to access. I had the same problem . Cause was the top of the case was loose cuz the screws were stripped out. Couple small cable ties to hold the cover down kept the rack in place for 10 plus years. All that said I like the TM on my new boat way better. Minnkota Ultrex is as good as advertised but expensive. I’ll posted a pic of my new boat in case we cross paths. Roy  |

Yes, the TM is a Motorguide, I have never had one before, all of mine have been Minnkota, which I like. Not sure about this thing! I did temporarily fix it, but have a new gear on order. So far, my guess is that I will end up throwing it in the lake... Pete is doing fine, he even took me out fishing while I was boatless! Hope to get out a little more this year. Where did you score the mask? Can't find them around here (Albany Capital District). I'm not out much, groceries/liquor/ got the boat. Just back from liquor store. Some stupid women parked on top of my truck with her little SUV and parked driver door to driver door. She wasn't there when I came back but while I'm loading passenger door she comes up behind me and bumps right into me. "Lady, you couldn't wait 2 seconds" Freaking stupid. I was about to get in my truck but she had to get to her wine fast I guess and just plows into me. Guess that's why we shouldn't go out, to many stupid people that just won't be careful when out. Suppose I shouldn't have been out either but my face was covered, had rubber gloves that I also cleaned with baby wipes along with my truck doors, the shopping cart handle, steering wheel, inside door handle etc. and then this dumb bitch just runs in to me. Pissed me off! Sorry, off topic.

To be honest, I am not high risk, so would rather catch the thing, not spread it to anyone else, be done with it, and move on.... If you are high risk, I would stay quarantined out on the lake But, you do have to deal with crazy people, especially at the hooch store! |

Yeah, I pretty much have. I've been out a few times the past 4 weeks but not much. At 63 and having suffered a heart attack several years ago I have to be pretty careful but it's not easy. When it warms up I'll shelter in my other place (camp) and out on the boat. Fortunately usually not many around up there. Been wearing my Buff for a mask but I'd like something better. Got a doc appointment Wednesday at Ortho, worry about exposure there.
