The planned was to fish North Hero area for week. The lake was low launching boat was difficult. We arrived on Saturday to very windy conditions. Sunday was no better very cold and windy. Monday bought calmer water and rise in temps. Check out couple of launch could not go out of where we wanted to so we ended up at St, Albans Bay and fish Georgia shoreline. My brother was only one to catch that day. 2 very nice smallmouth on hula grub bluegill color fish on 1/8 jig head. Tuesday bought much of same weather wise and back to St, Albans. Fishing was much better as we caught 2 smallmouth, 1 pike and 10 largemouth. Fish were caught in 8 to 10 foot of water with rocky bottom and scatter weeds. Water temp range 49 - 51. Check was done on Wednesday weather and not good. Wind, rain and snow showers. Decide to pack up and leave Wednesday. It was good choice as it was snowing and some of lawns were turning white. Weather did not look up until we were below lake George on 87 south. Though the weather gods were not with us I enjoy time on lake. That's latest I ever been on lake so it was new experience.

A couple nice looking fish there. That was a bad stretch of weather during that time but that could have been said for most of October. Sure you enjoyed the time nonetheless.

Nice thick smallmouths! The weather has been just abysmal this fall. My brother said it rained in Albany 22 of 31 days in October.
