Took my dad up to a little pond not far from my house last night. We didn't set the world on fire but we had a great time. We caught close to 30 bass between the two of us in 2.5 hours but only one of them was over 12". Most were 8 -10". They hit on about everything from senkos to craws to footbal jigs. Just couldn't find any size to them. We went around the entire pond on the trolling motor and hit every piece of structure we found. We had a little bit of excitement at the beginning when I forgot to put the plug in the boat. I had to jump in to get it in. I thought it was strange that the bilge was pumping on such a dry day.
I have caught bigger bass in there in the spring but just couldn't find them yesterday. My dad had a blast and it was great to be out there with him. He had triple bypass surgery in early July so that makes it even better to be out there with him now.

Nice that you two got to spend some time together fishing. The bite sounds similar to Weatherhead Hollow pond in Windham county.

Those little ponds are mostly untouched by anglers, so the bass always bite! There are bigger ones in there somewhere!

Us old guys are not immortal. Great that you spent time fishing with your dad. How many and how big are immaterial. Bob
