I installed the Ninja blade invented/produced by local stick Steve Lucarelli. Basically it's square curved piece of machined aluminum with a very sharp edge that hangs out over the prop on your trolling motor. The weeds that get wrapped around prop hit blade and are cut off. It works! I haven't had to pull up prop to clean weeds off it once since I put it on. Used to have to do it all the time on my Fortex 80lb and Maxxum 74lb before that. Some still wrap around shaft but that doesn't impact the prop churning through the weeds. It's a little over $35 with shipping. I ordered right from Steve but you can order from Tackle Warehouse, Amazon, etc. If you buy it, make sure to follow the directions to the letter. If you do, it's never coming off. If you buy a new trolling motor, you will need to buy another one. www.ninjagrassblade.com/about.html

Going to try and get in touch with him.
