Finally got the boat out on the lake. Launched at St Alban's Bay. Water temp was around 64. Had one good smallmouth on in about 7' of water on a Scotty's McFly that came unbottoned. Landed a few largemouth in shallow water. A good sized pike also stole my new favorite fly. Curious to know if St Alban's bay is better known for largemouth than smallmouth?

Looks like a good day to be on the water. I've only been up that one for a couple days 5-6 years ago. I want say the bay is large mouth area although this time of the year, you are likely to find smallie's anywhere looking to spawn. Don't you hate them toothy critters? I know I do.
