Heading up tomorrow after voting. Planning to fish Wed/Thurs and bring boat back Friday. Though looking at the weather, might come back Thursday. Showing high of Friday in Albany of 32! Hope the fish are biting, I'd think they should be and smallies should be moving up shallow by now. Been an interesting year. Anyone else going up this week? Text me if you are.

Good luck Brian. Should be good fishing. Brian and I were on the CTR yesterday. Water temp was 51 and SM were indeed biting. We fished in different boats but landed the same amount of smallies catching 21 each. Moving baits accounted for all but one for me. Brian mixed it up fishing some bottom baits. I don’t think I will be up unless the wind is minimal on Sunday. Saturday high is close to freezing. Hoping temps moderate because if they do fishing could be great. I am hoping to fish until the Sunday after Thanksgiving 🙏🙏

Good luck Brian! We were planning to be at Champlain Wednesday but canceled due to some snow showers and the likelyhood of wet salty mountain roads. Trying to protect the new boat . I fished the CT river again yesterday. Current was even stronger than on Sunday, nice water conditions (50-51 degrees) overall with fewer leaves floating in the current seams. Smallies were active but didn't find the bigger fish. Hitting jerk baits, spinner baits and tubes. Only got one on a swimbait. Pretty fun really, usually by this time of year the bite is on jigging blades off the bottom. Season is coming to an end. Still may get up to Champ one more time.

Well it was a very good day. Got 3 smallies the first hour (launched at 9:30 and it was 30 degrees). Second smallies was 3 3/4lb out if 2 ft of water. Got one 3 1/2 on Dooley point and saved bait from a couple pike. Ran to WP and never left. Got a couple more 3 1/2, a 3 2, a four and my new personal best 6 1/2 lb slob. Wish I could post pictures but they are on Facebook if you check. Best five went 21lbs 3 oz. Last fish of the day was of course a pike that wrecked my jig that I got biggest bass on. Damn things. Was a hell of a day to end my season. Can't think of a better way to finish.

Awesome season ender. I saw a nice "belly view" of that bass. I'll check the others out too. It's tough to call it quits but it's mid November . I'm going to squeak in another week. Dunno how far from home I'll get or how often. Thanks for your posts this season

6-8 is a heck of a fish for Champlain! But you gotta work on your photos next year😁 I think from now on Watch Point will be known to me as Dooley Point North. Hope JW doesn't kill you for mentioning his honey hole😆 Have a good winter Brian. Hope to see you on the lake early next spring.

Why do I think Roy means better pictures would be those without my ugly mug in them...... JK. Yeah, I took them with my phone and was hurrying because I wanted to get her back in the drink. As long as I had pictures, wasn't to worried about quality. Glad I came and brought boat home when I did. Thursday was warmer temp wise but it was blowing pretty good making it feel colder then Wednesday even up on the hill. And we all know how yesterday and last night was and tonight is going to be. I just hope our water lines do OK. They should be. Will be closing camp up next week or just before Turkey Day.

No, really I wasn’t suggesting you keep your face out but you could get the fishes face in😃 And I doubt she’d like seeing her butt hole on the internet 😕
