Tried a couple new items going into this season. Thought I'd share my experience.
Seagar Invizx - Fluorocarbon 20lb text I bought when I found it for less than half price. Normally goes for around $25 for 250 yards. My intent was to try this line to use for flipping and dragging jigs as an alternative to Spiderwire I usually use. I used a light jig (3/8th) and small craw trailer. All I can say is this line has more memory than a pissed off wife. Lot's of loops, loose line on the bait caster, and birds nests. Spent a lot of time taking line off to reel back in to get line back on spool properly. May have worked better with heavier bait but not so sure. I had brief experience with Abrazx (12lb test) and that went pretty well considering I was using someone else reel I hadn't used before. But not so much with the 20lb Invizx. After 4 trips out, I stripped it off and replaced with 30lb test Spiderwire. Will use rest of the spool as a leader on Spiderwire. I wouldn't buy it again.
TH Marine Eliminator trolling motor prop nut - Have to admit I was a bit skeptical about this item especially listed for just over $50. So I called a couple friends who fish big money tournaments and they both said it's worth it. Bass Cat sells these for a somewhat discounted price of $47 so I took a shot. Product claims to quiet prop vibration and help with motor cooling. Well, I can't speak to the cooling. Can't think of a way to check that but I did find it makes trolling motor run quieter. My 80lb Fortex only had one season on it so it was ran well already but have to admit the larger surface area holds the prop tight and reduces prop vibration significantly. I'm happy with it. Another plus is that you can change TM prop without tools. You can spin it off with your hand and re-install the same way which makes for quick easy emergency prop replacement after you ding your TM prop retrieving your buddies lure out of the tree..... I won't mention any names here...
