First Time Ice fishing

Nate took me out ice fishing for the first time up at Sandbar. It's defintely a different kind of fishing with tip ups and feeling big pike get close to the hole and take off again with the line screaming out through your fingers. I had a lot of fun and it's exciting when you see that flag go up and you have no idea if it is a monster or just a little guy, or even a bass! big one of the day was 14lb by nate with a couple 10lbers and other good ones. Defintely a good time with a friend and some food and beautiful scenery where ever you look. Looks like the ice is in no rush to leave and I'll have plenty of time to ski and ice fish again.

Beautifull fish. when my boys get a little older i'm gonnna make a trip up for some ice fishing. for now i'll stick to warmer weather up there. that's a heck of a first time ice fishing, congrats. Jeremy.

Sounds like a fun first trip. That was a nice bass and it had some interesting dark markings.
