Mike H. came over to fish for a few days. Monday was rainy, cold and windy. Sent us fishing for LM. Found a point with a lee side that had a well developed weed bed. The fish were stacked up just into the lee side for about 50 yds. We just kept coming fom the lee side to the windward side at varying distances from the point. This one area produced most of our fish. Between us we caught 50 keepers. Mostly LM .Nothing really big. A couple of 3's, 3.25's and 2 3.75. Tuesday was beautiful with sunny skies and a 10-12 knot wind. SM were accessible. We looked for rocky bottoms with some isolated weed beds. Another 50 fish day with no real big fish. Wed. was cold, a little rain and very windy. We finally got driven off the lake having fished about 4 hrs less than each of the other days. Probably 25 fish between us. Again we could not get a 4 lber, or better. Fishing lCI this weekend. Hope that I've saved the big ones for then. Bob

Bob Best of luck to you in the LCI. 50 fish days are not bad, sounds like they really stacked up in the weeds for you the smallmouth bite was off?
hope you run into some bigger fish for the tourney. Did you ever get any help with running the boat this year?

Miles, The smallmouth bite was good Tuesday, but nothing of any size(3 lbs or more). I did get my son from Ct. up for a couple of days in April for boating lessons. I fished this morning, which left one of my sons on shore. He took my place this afternoon. He just called to tell me that the motor won't start. Looks like I'll be heading down to the bay. Bob
