I've been fishing Fairfield pond near st albans for the last 5 years and I've never seen an algae bloom there ever. It's always the go to swimming spot for me. Yet saturday I arrived at 5am to launch by digging holes in the sand flat to lower my trailer to push off my boat. I guess I can say the only good thing about my old boat was my ability to man handle it in any water depth and the trailer tipped. So the water stank to high hell and was gross and I'm up to my thighs in less than enjoyable water. Luckily the south end was clean and I could swim in near 80 degree water with my fiance.
Any one else finding algae blooms? How about on champy? I can now say that next weekends weather forecast looks awesome... rain and clouds is something I'm excited for. I roasted this weekend.

Seems to be a lot of algae in many places this year. It’s been in the setbacks of the CTR since late ice. We were getting it on our jigs when they’d hit bottom. At ice out it was in puffy balls floating around and is now all over the bottom. Sucks for fishing.
