How does everyone feel the lake will be this year with early warmth and rising lake temps and really low water for this time of year? I forsee algae blooms. What say you experienced lake people on how the lake fishes when we get low water levels this early.

I think it's good that the water has warmed up. I really think a lot if fish have finished spawning in the south lake and the warming temps and arrival of alewives could get them back feeding sooner. That being said who knows if current trends will continue? I'd expect rain and cool temps being that's how June has been recently. I hope not.

With the heat this past week I would agree most have spawned most likely. Others will take their time. I've seen LM on beds into late June. Low water levels for this time of year is a twist. But you never know when the skies will open up. Remember flooding in June and Septembers in not all that long ago past? Post spawn pattern will settle in sooner or later. Hope it's sooner. It was a good April but a damn tough May for this guy. I'm not up this weekend but lake had dropped like a foot a week last couple weeks and even with last nights rain I'm guessing it dropped close to another foot this past week especially with dominating south winds.
I plan to head back up Tuesday for some mid week fishing and let things settle after the big cold front that went through last night. Hope to get into a groove soon. Good luck to all on the water this weekend.
