Are the ny launches closed?
Also heard a report of a new Yorker who works in vt who fished bomoseen and got his trailer tire slashed... terrible and messed up.

A friend sent me a copy of the post about guy who had his tires slashed but it didn't say where it happened. He was the only one with NY plates and only one who got tires slashed. That sucks and is BS. Hope they catch the clown who did it. You see lots of VT plates in NY too and haven't hear of any of them being given a hard time. Re NYS launches, I've been chasing this down all week (not much else to freaking do!) What I can say for sure is that Parks and Rec state parks are totally or partially closed. If closed and they have a ramp then obviously they wouldn't' be accessible. But some are partially closed. Our nearby state park Schodack Island State park has posted the park is open but office is closed as are bathrooms, playground, pavilions, etc. Hiking trails are open and no mention about their beautiful boat launch. I'll take a ride down today or tomorrow. The big question is ENCON ramps (Encon and Parks/Rec are two separate agencies). Post on Parks website yesterday made it sound like all State launches are closed while ENCON website is silent on the matter (as of this morning anyway). On Wednesday one of our local ENCON officers stated all ENCON ramps (Ti, Port Henry, etc.) would remain open. Someone posted they called local ENCON office for Champlain and verified Port Henry and one north of there was still open so who the hell knows. For now I'd assume Encon ramps open, Parks is a crap shoot. Call ahead or check the Park locations website and hope they have something posted. But like I said, our local state park doesn't say one way or the other if ramp is open. Having worked for NYS for 31 plus years, an educated guess is a lot of ramps are open but they are not going to advertise it keeping traffic down to local users. The state Wednesday state municipalities with ramps can make their own decisions. I know one local Town in Albany County blocked theirs off but sited state requirements. Think they may have misinterpreted what state was saying or didn't care. State did make a blanket statement that all marinas and ramps would be closed without clarifying that they were addressing privately owned ramps. So are they open, best answer right now is - maybe! This is a good FB page to belong too. Run by a local ENCON officer Brian who does his best to keep us up to date on what's going on. Good reports on both fishing and hunting. I've enjoyed it. www.facebook.com/groups/343277572931164/?multi_permalinks=604523360139916&comment_id=604542003471385¬if_id=1587004487549755¬if_t=feedback_reaction_generic He verified ENCON ramps were open Wednesday but nothing new out. He does this on his own time I believe so he dedicate all his time to FB page. Will provide updates as I come across them.

Just check ENCON (DEC) website, it nows says all DEC ramps are closed.... I say, if you get to a ramp and it's not blocked, go fishing.... I know someone said they verified Champlain ENCON ramps were open and they maybe. On Champlain NY seems to let VT take the lead on hunting/fishing matters and since VT ramps are open, they may keep NY's open too. Hopefully as the weather warms all this nonsense will get sorted out. www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7832.html

NYS finally came to its senses and opened both public and private launches/marina's. And golf courses too with restrictions.
