Second time out with my new boat the foot pedal on my Ultrex locked up. Made a few calls and got a good feeling from one shop owner. He was willing to look at it right away and said I could bring it down still mounted on the boat.
Got to work on it right away but being it was a problem he had not seen before it required getting parts. That was a Saturday. Thursday I got a text saying I was good to go!
Highly recommend Barry’s Trolling Motor service in Worcester Mass.

Good to know. In addition to the terrible conditions I had for the last two days, my trolling motor tension cable for turning left seemed to have slipped. I haven't pulled it apart to see if it's something I can do, since my boat had 3 inches of water in it from the constant and at times torrential rains, and the boat is torn apart in the garage trying to dry out.

There were places in NY too. One was in the Lake George area and another was CR’s Marine but I forget where they are located. Brian D would know. I thought it would be helpful to someone one day to mention a place where service was very good. Didn’t know it would be you!

My Ultrex is at Barry's right now with the same problem, only good thing was when I was up to the Northern end of Champlain when it decided to stop working I was still able to use the remote to steer with it. Hope to get it back soon as I'm headed back up next weekend.

My problem was due to the steering assist motor. Barry did a good job diagnosing that issue. He said it was the first he’s seen. I really liked Barry. My kind of guy, fishy and handy! I have no remote but will buy one in case. Boat was used and I think previous owner kept it for a backup when he traded.

The Lake George dealer is Fish307. Shop (lots of tackle for bass and trout too) is just after you turn off 9 north onto Route 149 toward Ft Ann. Shop sits back from road. They've helped me a couple times and keep a bigger inventory of TM parts then CR. CR more on MK Talon service but has some TM parts and can get anything. Kyle, the is the owners son and has been factory trained on MK's.
