I'm think we should create a pool with squares kind of like a superbowl pool. Subject - First day Roy launches on Champlain. We know he'll be first most likely but what will the date be? Or if you want, just throw a date out there. I'm going with with March 25!

You might be just a bit early with 3/25. I think this crazy weather is going to be with us awhile. I would love to be ice fishing on 3/25 but that is not likely. It would be fine with me if the fishing was just getting good at the end of April when the camper is there.
But thanks for thinking of me!!!!

Looking at the lake level just now would suggest the ice in the south lake should be flowing northward. Can't say with any certainty it's gone but I think it would be. Guessing the ice on the Hinsdale setbacks should be flowing south towards the dam.
All that said I am hoping to ice fish Sunday on a waterbody I know well

Last picture from Buoy 39 showed ice but it was not in good condition at all. They wouldn't even let dogs on it. This cold weather could refreeze things a bit.

Maybe I will be ice fishing on the 25th after all! It's been a great ice fishing season on the CTR setbacks. Hope the open water season is as good.
Noticed the ice was gone from a nearby lake that did not freeze well this year much like most of the larger deeper water bodies. Those will be ready and waiting for us when the weather is bearable whenever that may be.
