The mechanic I’ve been using for a number of years is really ill and it’s likely wont be working any longer. I’m interested in hearing from folks with firsthand experience about your level of satisfaction with some of the marine mechanics in chittenden county. I would like to find a place to have my service done that I can rely on in the long-term. I’m not looking to get overcharged, but at the same time I’m happy and willing to pay a bit more IF that translates into proactive high-quality service, good communication, willingness to answer my questions and reasonable turnaround.
I know Saba Marine, but this is a Yamaha and the guy I talked to there today wasn’t sure they could do more than simple winterization-type stuff on engines other than a merc. I’m specifically interested in feedback on the local Yamaha dealer as well as VT Home and Marine as well as any others I should consider. Anyone use the place in Ferrisburgh or the one in Vergennes? I don’t want to have anyone publically flogged, so if you have negative feedback it would be helpful to keep it offline (my email is below), and it would be helpful to know some details so I can put things in perspective as much as possible.
My email is david.furman "at" Hotmail.com , if you have a mechanic that you use and trust I’d love to hear about it.
Thanks in advance, Dave
