C-rigs are good for me. Use 2 beads all of the time. I'm sure you know why, but i'll tell you why i think they are effective beads create the same clacking sound as crawfish claws across the rocks. also do not forget to dip your tube ends in orange dye-- difference between 2 fish per day and 10 per day. Thoughts?

I have never tried dyes at all. You really think they make that much of a difference?

Thoughts? Chartreuse lizard tails work for me. I haven't had much success with orange. I use the marker pens rather than a dye-dip

Fluorocarbon. Never have used dyes or scents.IMO their major function is to screw up the carpeting. ;D

Hey Bob, I thought the idea behind this presentation was to have your bait float ?

1oz for me...arms length leader...purple beads (one on each side of the weight) 5" kalins grub (bluegill) with chart. garlick dip n' glow on 1/4" of the tail. KILLER rig for LM up north. I actually love to fish them but don't do it as much as I should. I hit the out side edge of weedlines and move it pretty darn quick until I hit something. Then I just let it sit...shake rod...let it sit...then move on. It's a great way to quickly learn what's down there too. You guys are gonna laugh your butts off but I fish everything on uglysticks rigged with abu bait casters and 20lb big game. Not the most glamorous rigs in the world but they have always served me well

I use 10-12# mono leader usually 2 1/2 to 4', 20# mono mainline, 3/4 or 1oz brass weight with a glass bead for noise and to help protect the knot. Most of the time I use a 6" lizard. If I am seeing fish just off the bottom I use a tube with a piece of masons calk (foam rope that sets the space when laying bricks) pushed inside to make it float. If I am using soft plastic I always have yum crayfish spray on it. Ramel
